Kinship Support Program

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren/Kinship Program covers the ten counties of NWMI and provides support, information, resources and assistance to families in need. CHS receives funding for this program from Area Agency on Aging.

Program staff collaborates with community agencies and distribute resources throughout the ten county region of NWMI in an effort to initiate client needs and possible participants. The program strives to provide materials, training, educational seminars, support groups and services in an effort to support grandparents and other older relative caregivers in caring for a child or children, either as a guardian or informally.
